IA4SI Workshop:How can impact assessment contribute to a wider societal uptake of Digital Social Innovation

Impact assessment has become increasingly important in every domain of activity, including the Digital Social Innovation. DSI is, however, a new field of investigation and the assessment of its impacts requires innovative approaches, which should also support the growth and effectiveness of DSI initiatives.

Impact Assessment for Social Innovation (IA4SI), a Coordination and Support Action funded under the European Union’s (EU) 7th Framework Program, has developed a structured methodology for evaluating the socio¬political, economical and environmental impacts of grassroots social innovation initiatives on society and to map key characteristics able to determine a wider uptake of these initiatives on a societal level. The IA4SI impact assessment methodology has been developed in close collaboration with CAPS (Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation) projects that also have taken part in their impact assessment exercise.

IA4SI invites you to learn more about the aim and the rationale underpinning the methodology and the preliminary results of the CAPS’ impact assessment, together with recommendations that aim to help to overcome barriers for wider uptake of digital social innovation initiatives and to identify measures to assure this in the context of the Horizon2020 programme.
Registration Participation is free of charge, but only registered participants will be admitted. Please register here by March 30th at 12.00.
